We all know by now that celebs are impervious to temperatures. They are season pushers known to wear leather and sequins to the desert, go coat-less in the winter and lately we’ve noticed one fall staple crossing over into their summer closets — over-the-knee boots. As most humans are taking shelter next to an A.C. thanks to the massive heat wave sweeping the country right now, some super-stylish stars are braving thigh-high boots in the middle of summer.
When a member of the KarJenner family finds something they love, they wear it exclusively until the next trend comes along. Kim Kardashian has been in a corsets-wearingmood all week while Khloé Kardashian has been all about the bodysuits. On Monday, she styled a nude House of CB piece with distressed denim short shorts and a pair of thigh-high tan boots. Thankfully, she ditched the army green parka to save herself from heat stroke and wore it around her waist instead.
Olivia Munn was spotted in L.A. wearing a Fifteen Twenty sleeveless shirt and denim cutoffs so short they were barely visible under her tank. It did however leave plenty of room for her gray suede boots to shine.
Meanwhile, Rita Ora skipped the shorts altogether in an oversize T-shirt dress, but she kept very cozy in her Vetements “sock” boot. The over-the-knee pair is made of sock-like jersey knit material, retails for $1,300 and according to Ora are apparently ideal for 90 degree days.

While each star somehow manages to look fresh and sweat-free, we bet the insides of those boots are anything but.
What do you think of this “summer” trend?
