Whether you tune into her Bravo show, her podcast or just follow her on social media (but seriously, how are you not watching #PumpRules on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET?), you’re always going to get Stassi #nofilter. So when we caught up with the 30-year-old star at Elle‘s New York Fashion Week lounge, we could not wait to spend 20 minutes in her warm, cushy bubble of candidness. True to form, she opened up about everything from her relationship with Botox (the injectable) to her relationship with Beau Clark (her “keeper” of a boyfriend). Catch the highlights from our chat, below. Dave Kotinsky/Getty On Starting Botox Seven Years Ago at Age 23 “I’ve always done it conservatively, and I have it down to a science. I know exactly how much I like to get, where I like to get it, and I always tell my doctor, ‘You know, I need to have some expression.’ I like people to see how I’m feeling. I’m on reality TV: If I’m angry, people need to know it. I’ve never been somebody that’s so addicted to freezing my face. It’s not about freezing your face, to me, it’s just about getting rid of my wrinkles. We all have wrinkles, and when my makeup starts seeping into my lines, that’s when I know I need to get Botox. I’m like, ‘Ughhh, it’s time to go back!'” On Not Dating Someone Who Would Shame Her for Getting Botox“I have to be me. I have to do what I want to do to my face and my body and feel good about myself. It’s not for somebody else.” On Guys Not Understanding What ‘Natural Makeup’ Is“Guys are like, ‘Oh, I love the natural makeup look on girls!’ And then they look at a Kardashian and they’re like, ‘Like that kind of look.’ And I’m like, ‘You have no idea what you’re talking about, they have so much makeup on.’ It’s the same way with Botox. They don’t know why you look prettier, but they know something is different.” On Finding a Real Relationship with Beau“I don’t feel badly about shouting it from the rooftops because y’all, I’ve been through like 15 years of s—t boyfriends, so now that I have a good one and I’m fine to brag about it!” On Her Valentine’s Day Plans“Me, Beau, Brittany [Cartwright], Jax [Taylor], Katie [Maloney], and [Tom] Schwartz are all going to Disneyland. I haven’t been in a really long time. I ordered these Valentine’s Day Mickey Mouse ears that are gold and red with Swarovski crystals on them.” On Sharing Beauty Products with Beau“We sometimes share moisturizer. He put one in my purse today because he has eczema and I have psoriasis, so that’s something we bonded over. So he was just like, ‘Can you put some of your moisturizer in your purse because I have eczema right now?'” On Getting Beau’s Advice on Her #OOTD [Schroeder launched National #OOTD last year on June 30]“I ask him for opinions, because his opinion matters! I still want him to find me attractive in what I’m wearing. But if he doesn’t like my sparkly shoes, I’m like ‘Too bad. I love ’em.'” On the Best Advice Lisa Vanderpump Has Given Her“To find what you’re good at and make a living off of it. When we started Vanderpump Rules she told us all, you can’t just be servers forever. You guys have to figure out what it is that you really want and what you’re good at and what makes you you and capitalize on that. I really took that to heart.” Schroeder’s debut book Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook drops in April.
