Anyone else notice that the temperature appears to rise perceptibly whenever you click on a photo of Idris Elba and Naomie Harris posing together. The gorgeous pair (co-stars in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) generate plenty of heat on their own, but when they join forces on the red carpet — which has happened plenty of times over the past few months as they’ve hit the awards show campaign trail — the effect is pure dynamite.

That’s why we have them both squarely at the top of our “Ones to Watch” list, preferably as a double act, as we head into awards season. In a world of Ross-the-Intern red carpet banality, we’re going to need a little sizzling energy to spice things up, stylewise, and these two are just the ones to bring it. Now that we’ve seen them in every conceivable outfit, let’s call out a few of our favorites.

First up, the gold standard for black tie: The truly stunning Alexander McQueen dress Harris wore to the London premiere of their film, which he complemented with a perfect-fit tux and skinny tie. They proved equally adept at cocktail attire at the Capri Hollywood film festival, where she sported a menswear-inspired Marchesa Voyage dress with a sexy lace panel and perfectly-matched heels, and he brought a little interest via his burgundy tee and long jacket. And finally, they were perfectly in-sync in Palm Springs wearing more casual looks — she in tropical-print Michael Kors and he in, well, let’s be honest, this is just an excuse to ogle Elba in a tight white polo.

Our favorite thing about the duo? They’re never boring — she loves to experiment with all sorts of styles, while you’ll rarely catch him in a simple suit. Now we’re just going to sit back and wait for what they have in store over the next few months.

Are you as into their style as we are? Do you love how they seem to coordinate on the carpet? Weigh in below!
