This week has been a non-stop celebration for Topshop, whose N.Y.C. doors finally opened yesterday at 11 am. At not one, but three star-studded parties, celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively, Kate Moss, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Momsen, Emma Roberts and more welcomed the British cheap-chic retailer to the Big Apple. Topshop’s resident supermodel designer Kate Moss flew in from London to cut the ceremonial ribbon yesterday morning. Clad in a flowing green dress from her own spring collection and a leather jacket, Kate helped Topshop owner Sir Philip Green welcome hundreds of New Yorkers into the first Stateside store. Fashionistas from all over the country came in for the 11 a.m. opening — some reportedly stood in line for over 2 hours just to get in. April 2nd also marked the launch date for some very stylish Topshop collaborations, including Kate Moss’s print-packed spring collection, Preen, and Jonathan Saunders. Even if you can’t make it to the store, you can get free shipping when you shop online at this week; however, we definitely recommend making the pilgrimage to see it all in person. Tell us: Will you make the trip to Manhattan to visit the first U.S. Topshop?
