Carey Mulligan
wore a structured maroon Balenciaga gown when she attended the 2015 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday night.

The actress, 30, was nominated for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play for Skylight. She faced off against Elisabeth Moss, Ruth Wilson, Geneva Carr and Helen Mirren, who ultimately took home the award for The Audience.

Mulligan, who will star opposite Meryl Streep in October’s Suffragette, accessorized her look with minimal jewelry — keeping focus on a single gold bracelet featuring an artistic design — and flawless, simple makeup by Giorgio Armani Beauty and makeup artist Georgie Eisdell. She also took time to pose with fellow nominee Bradley Cooper on the carpet.

The star’s husband, Mumford and Sons’s Marcus Mumford, was by her side as she attended Broadway’s big night.

Mulligan and Mumford’s close friend, Sienna Miller, recently praised the couple’s low-key lifestyle when Mulligan covered the May issue of Vogue.

“They have chickens and a dog, and roasts and friends, jams by campfires,” Miller said. “It’s sort of idyllic. Marcus can headline Glastonbury and Carey can be nominated for however many Oscars, and then they come back to their farm, and they’re in big woolly jumpers and funny hats, raising piglets. It’s an amazing balance they’ve managed to strike. I can’t wait for a little baby to come along.”
