No, not Ron Burgundy. (Though those suits and that ginger ‘stache really do deserve some style recognition.) We’re talking about the movie’s other star: Christina Applegate, who plays Veronica Corningstone in the much-hyped sequel. She landed at the top of the Most Loved Looks list in the figure-flattering gown seen at the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues premiere in N.Y.C.

Applegate beat out the competition by donning a black Lorena Sarbu dress with beading at the neckline, the short sleeves and down the sides of the bodice. And while some people might think all that embellishment on the gown is more than enough, the actress doubled down and added bling-y maroon Lorraine Schwartz danglers to the mix.

Nearly nine out of 10 StyleWatchers gave the ensemble their stamp of approval, lending Applegate the edge she needed to best Vanessa Hudgens, Amy Adams, even Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton.

Oh, and NBD — Applegate actually appeared on the Best Dressed list twice. She also nabbed the No. 8 spot thanks to her nude lace Emilio Pucci gown, also accessorized with sparkly danglers, selected for the London premiere of her movie.

Check out all the looks on the list here then let us know: Did Christina Applegate deserve that top spot? Or should this week’s honor have gone to someone else?
