Katy Perry, fashion stylist? That’s how the world might know the pop star if she’d chosen muslin over music, she tells PEOPLE.

“I’d probably want to work in the fashion industry. I would probably be a stylist,” says 31-year-old Perry. “I love creating looks; I do it with all my girlfriends.”

She still could, if she decides to step back from singing, but there is one major roadblock: shipping and receiving. “If part of being a stylist is [using] FedEx, I am not great with that,” says Perry. But she’s willing to roll her sleeves up and work her way up “from the bottom if need be.”

Perry recently dabbled in fashion design, creating a onesie collection with Beloved Shirts. She’s also fronted a few fashion campaigns, including H&M and Moschino.

When it comes to her own bold on-stage red carpet and beauty campaign style (check out the behind-the-scenes images of her latest fragrance, Katy Perry’s Mad Potion), Perry says she loves to go all out. “I like to play and have fun. When I create a look it’s a really big look, usually.”

The one time you won’t find her dressed to the nines? When she’s laying low at home in her bathrobe. “Honestly, half of the time I’m walking around looking like [Jeff Bridges in] The Big Lebowski,” says Perry of her leisure attire.
