People.com Lifestyle Style The Irresistible Shoes Our Style Council Will Be Wearing All Fall What's on your shoe wish list? Here's how our celeb style council answered that question By Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico is PEOPLE's Deputy Style Director, where she oversees the brand's digital Style and Beauty coverage. This includes running lead on the Met Gala, which is among PEOPLE.com's top-trafficked red carpet events every year, interviewing the industry's top influencers (including all the Kardashian-Jenners), and breaking A-list celeb news (a New Jersey shore native, it is no surprise that her favorite interview ever was with Bruce Springsteen). I love to wear them with super-skinny high-waisted jeans and a classic tee. I’d probably roll the hems of the jeans to show off the shoes. And then they’re also great with a little dress when you’re just transitioning into fall.” Jamie Chung, Sophia Webster for J.Crew heels (available in select stores)“I went to the J.Crew opening in Hong Kong and met Jenna Lyons there. My fiancé knows her so we were chatting; I was so nervous because I had never met her before. And then she just gave these shoes to me as an early wedding gift! They’re so cool and so interesting. They can be loud, but they still blend in and aren’t obnoxious. They go with a lot of clothing options like a skirt and white button up. The shoe feels supersexy because it’s conservative on top, but the bottom half is banging!” Kristin Cavallari; Inset:Michael Kovac/WireImage; Courtesy Ashley Madekwe; Inset:John Sciulli/WireImage Kristin Cavallari, Chinese Laundry by Kristin Cavallari “Layla” embossed cutout heels“They’re incredibly comfortable and can be worn day or night. I would wear these with a sleeveless dress that hit just below my knees and a leather jacket or shorts and a bodysuit with either a sweater or lightweight jacket over it. You could get away with wearing these shoes during the day, but I think they’re better and much more perfect for night, like dinner with friends.” Ashley Madekwe, Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” Sandal“I love the simplicity of these. I wore these with a nude lace dress at a an event to celebrate Dior. They would pretty much work with anything. They’re from my friend’s brand and their made in Italy so the quality and craftsmanship is incredible. I love that the laces are thin and elegant for a men’s shoe. I like to go a bit androgynous with look when I wear these, like with a biker jacket that’s a bit studded.” Zendaya Coleman, Christian Louboutin red pumps“These are my newest addition to my CL “So Kate” collection. They’re the perfect, true red. Sometimes a red acts as a neutral color and can work with a lot of stuff, like jeans and a tee for a pop of color. And they always look good with a red lip!” Which shoe look is your favorite? What is your go-to shoe for fall? Share your thoughts below!
