Since giving birth to 5-month-old twins Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, Rebecca Romijn tells InStyle that her post-baby curves make her “feel as sexy as I have ever felt.” To put her “body back together again” after not being able to move much during her last month of pregnancy, the actress works out on the elliptical machine, hikes and does Pilates. “I’m a jeans size up from where I usually am,” she says, “but there’s nothing about it that freaks me out.”

What’s Teri Hatcher’s secret to being in bikini shape at 44? “What I love is to eat right – I am not a junk food eater,” says the Desperate Housewives actress. Though she’ll splurge on the occasional potato chips and pizza, her healthy staples include chicken stir-fry with veggies, oatmeal and tuna fish. And Hatcher – who tries to “do a minimal workout every day” of 30 minutes of cardio, plus strength training – likes setting fitness goals. Next up? A mini-triathlon with pals. “My girlfriend got me a bike this year, so I think I’m going to do it,” she says. – Amy Elisa Keith

Rosario Dawson refuses to let L.A.’s good weather go to waste. “I live in Venice, so I walk a lot and I bicycle ride. It’s great to take a walk after you have a meal, like just simple things like that,” says Dawson, who often cruises around town with her deejay boyfriend Mathieu Schreyer. The native New Yorker admits that hoofing it to a restaurant “gets us funny looks sometimes because no one really walks here” – but she’s okay with that. “I like being outside,” she says. “I think that’s kind of the point in being in California personally!” – Jenny Sundel

When it comes to staying in shape, Malin Akerman likes to keep her body guessing. “It’s very much about shocking your body. If you do the same routine every single day your body gets used to it,” the Watchmen star explains. The actress is a fan of the military-inspired CrossFit conditioning program, a varied workout which mixes elements of gymnastics, weight-training and cardio for short, intense periods of time. “They have these CrossFit gyms where you have medicine balls, weight-lifting, rowing machines, [and] obstacle courses. I recommend going!” – Jed Dreben

SQUEEZE IN EXERCISE

Like new moms everywhere, Gwyneth Paltrow struggled to find time to exercise after the birth of her second baby, now-3-year-old son Moses. The solution? Trainer Tracy Anderson encouraged the busy actress to break up her workouts. “I’d say, ‘We know we have 20 minutes in the morning while one’s napping and one’s at preschool, so let’s take that 20 minutes and exercise.’ And we’d do toning at night,” says Anderson, who also trains Madonna. “As moms, it’s important to take time for ourselves, exercise, sweat out the toxins and look and feel the best we can.” – K.C. Baker
