To keep her skin looking dewy, Sandra Bullock is a fan of the Sundari skincare line. Infused with natural essential oils and free of synthetic fragrances, the products are based on the Ayurvedic principles that people are a combination of natural elements or “doshas” – “vata” (air), “pitta” (fire) or “kapha” (earth) – with the dominant element determining your skin type. Bullock loves the Neem Night Cream ($58 for 1.7 fl. oz.), made from nourishing jojoba oil, geranium oil and shea butter. Learn more about essential oils on Health.com! – Serena Kappes

Years of abusing drugs and alcohol left Nick Carter with cardiomyopathy, a potentially fatal weakening of the heart muscle. But the diagnosis also enabled him to turn his life around: He got sober and embarked on a healthier lifestyle that helped him drop 57 lbs. Today, the Backstreet Boy works out five times a week and eats a balanced 2,000-calories-a-day diet of egg-white omelets, grilled chicken and veggies. And thinking positively keeps him on track. “If I continue to stay strong,” says Carter, “then I won’t go backwards.”
