The First Stars to Get Their Hands on Apple Watches: Katy Perry, Pharrell and Drake!

The new Apple Watch is officially on the market (and there’s already a wait list of four to six weeks), but as you may expect, a few fashionable (and techy) celebs already got their hands on one — and went straight to Instagram to show off their new devices.

We’re not sure if Katy Perry is more excited over the cartoon on the screen or the actual watch, captioning her photo, “⌚️❤️Oh Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey!⌚️❤️” Though we’re assuming she was equally “blown away” by the cool gadget.

Equally enthralled with the Mickey, Pharrell couldn’t get enough of the fun animated features, posting an Instagram video of his screen saver tapping his foot along to the second hand. (Is the cartoon reminding anyone else of their first timepiece as a kid?)

And finally, Drake opted to debut his new tech wear at Coachella (what, no crazy hair change?). But he didn’t bring quite as much attention to his gadget, wearing a bright red track suit with matching red band, captioning the photo, “Chella.” (He probably bought a strap in every color to match his hoodies.)

While other celebrities (Christy Turlington, Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld) have already been involved in the product launch, we’re already anticipating which celebs will sport the watch next. Maybe Steve Jobs mega-fan Kayne West? Coding master Karlie Kloss? We’ll just wait to find out. Are you ordering an Apple watch? Share with us in the comments below.
