The CFDA Awards: Stars, Gowns & More!
MARC JACOBS AND VICTORIA BECKHAM
The designer and his latest model spice up the red carpet. Jacobs tells PEOPLE of Beckham: “My work here is done. Victoria looks amazing. I’m not interested in anybody else. I’m a one girl guy.”
The designer of two lines – the Row and Elizabeth & James – sports womenswear designer of the year winner Francisco Costa’s tuxedo instead. “It’s a little bolero jacket,” Costa tells PEOPLE of the petite star’s outfit. “It fits her perfectly.”
EVA LONGORIA AND TONY PARKER
The Desperate Housewife may have added a Stuart Weitzman clutch to her sexy pink Diane von Furstenberg dress, but her basketball star husband was clearly her favorite accessory of the night.
The statuesque star was simply glamorous in her navy Abaete gown and sleek hair.
MICHAEL KORS AND HILARY DUFF
The Project Runway judge gets high marks for the curve-hugging, sequined dress he designed for the War, Inc. star.
The actress credited the perfect weather in New York for her choice of Calvin Klein dress, paired with Van Cleef & Arpels diamonds. “We had another dress in mind,” explained Mendes. “Then I tried this on. You have to see what is right for the weather.”
Always up for a fashion risk, the actress eschewed a gown for a plaid Proenza Schouler caftan over pants.
The Sex and the City star isn’t just ravishing in her one-shouldered Monique Lhuillier dress – she’s inspiring. Her date, menswear designer of the year Tom Ford, confided to PEOPLE that “she’s so beautiful, she makes me want to design women’s clothes again.”
The actress, in a Ralph Lauren metallic frock, presented the award for accessory designer of the year to Tory Burch.
Playing a fashion editor on Lipstick Jungle has certainly upped this star’s style quotient. As for why she picked her Marc Jacobs dress, she said, “I love how unexpected and innovative he is.”
After recently referring to his own Sean John line as “fashion viagra,” the rap mogul created his own excitement in a sharp white tuxedo.
With Yves Saint Laurent’s passing on everyone’s minds, the supermodel turned up in black harem pants and a sheer top from the company’s fall collection.
VICTORIA BECKHAM AND EVA LONGORIA
The pals carefully approach for an air kiss inside the awards.
ASHLEY OLSEN, FRANCISCO COSTA AND EVA MENDES
The Womenswear Designer of the Year gets some love from his two well-dressed companions – both in Calvin Klein, of course!
