Princess Kate
will soon return to the full swing public duty, following the May birth of Princess Charlotte and the royals’ annual August vacation, and she’s stepping back into the spotlight with a new hairstyle.

Kate, 33, has bangs.

The princess wore her new look, alongside husband
Prince William
, as they headed to Crathie Kirk, on Queen Elizabeth‘s Balmoral estate in Scotland, for Sunday services. (The couple took their family up to the Scottish retreat to help the Queen celebrate her record-breaking reign last week.)

For fans of the princess, her hair has long been a style highlight. Of course, this isn’t the first time she’s debuted long bangs. In 2012, she made headlines when she cut her hair in a similar style.

Kate will resume her full royal duties on Thursday, with a visit to a family school run by the Anna Freud Centre in London.

“Over the next few months the duchess will be concentrating on children’s mental health and promote the early intervention message and help prevent family breakdown,” a palace source told PEOPLE.

William, 33, will appear at the Tusk Trust’s 25th anniversary ball that night, and both royals will join
Prince Harry
in attending the opening ceremony and first match of the Rugby World Cup on Friday.
