I Made It!
“This was my first time going, and I really didn’t know what to expect. I was so nervous. Literally, walking in, I was nervous. I have heard the hype of Coachella forever. But it was so much fun. It almost felt like a dream, if I’m being honest. There were so many incredible artists and bands and the vibe was insane.”

Yes, Packing Was Intense!
“Packing for Coachella is the most insane time of your life ever. It’s almost more stressful than trying to get in or trying to get a ticket or trying to get through the traffic! I totally overpacked. I brought a suitcase and a small duffel bag. I collaborated with my stylist Joseph Cassell, and we found some really cool looks. I brought a ton from H&M. It’s hard when you want to look incredible, but at the same time you want to be comfortable because you’re running from stage to stage and you’re in the blazing hot heat and then at night, it gets chilly. It was a real challenge to put looks together. But I felt good in all my outfits and I felt like they looked good, too.”

Braids for Days
“The first day, I did a down ‘do with beachy waves and a braid coming out of it. It felt like a bohemian look. We got there a little bit later when the sun was going down and it was a little cooler so I wanted a nighttime look.”

My Coachella Crew
“I went with my boyfriend Ray and my best friend Natalie. We have the same taste music. That was cool for us to experience that together.”

Watching Ellie Goulding
“We saw Ellie Goulding at the end of our first day. She was the one person I wanted to see. We got to see her just in time—we were running from a different act. We booked it over to her before she went out. She was my favorite act. She was awesome. She killed it. I love when she played her last song, 'Love Me Like You Do.'”

In Love With the Area
“I love this whole area—it’s such a cool vacation spot. The location they hold Coachella in is so beautiful, whether at night or during the day. The way they created the space is so gorgeous. I loved all the different colored lights on the palm trees. And the ferris wheel is awesome.”

Dreaming Big
“Coachella felt like it kept getting bigger and better. I loved seeing Calvin Harris, The 1975, and the Chainsmokers. I ended up seeing a bunch of people from my label, Hollywood Records, there. They said, ‘That’s going to be you one day.’ And I’m like ‘Omigod.’ I have all these visions for what my set would be. I fantasized about it for a bit. Hopefully one day—fingers crossed.”

The Day Two Updo
“This was for the second day. I knew I was going to a few events and it was going to be hot, so I went with my hair up. I wanted something a little nicer and I was meeting people, and this look made sense!”

Hanging With Designer Jonathan Simkhai
“He was so much fun. This was at an event where he was being honored, and I wore one of his pieces. It was a romper and it was so perfect for my theme of Coachella—I could run around and do cartwheels and not feel like I’m dying in the blazing hot heat. His clothing is amazing; I’m obsessed with it. To meet him was incredible.”

Quick Change
“I brought a ton of rompers, shoes and a lot of hats that I didn’t wear. I also brought a ton of sunglasses and a few other backpacks. I’m really into hats, and I really wanted to wear a hat this weekend. I knew if I wore a flower crown, I would fidget with it the entire time. But with my hat, I didn’t take it off the whole time.”

One of My Favorite Accessories
“This was when I was with my boyfriend walking into the festival, and we’re chatting about who we’re going to see that day. I brought my Rebecca Minkoff backpack that day, and I had everything that I possibly could in that backpack—tons of sunscreen, tons of water, tons of Polaroid cameras, chargers, my Neutrogena lip gloss, which I’m absolutely obsessed with. That’s the only day I actually brought stuff to the festival. The day before I didn’t bring that much, and I knew I needed something the next day because I was going to be there all day long.”

Of Course, I Had to Go On the Ferris Wheel!
“I went on it! It was really cool. When I looked to my left, I could see the entire grounds and where all the music happens. When I looked to my left, it was where all the people camp out. It was so cool.”

One of My Favorite Looks
“I loved this look, which is a Forever 21 top, Johnny Was kimono, One Teaspoon shorts, Matisse boots, Perverse sunglasses and a Rebecca Minkoff fanny pack. It was just big enough to fit my Polaroid camera and some lip gloss and my phone. It was perfect because I wore that on the last day. The first two days I didn’t get enough pictures on my Polaroid because I forgot I had it in my backpack before. It fit perfectly in my fanny pack. It was so fun.”

Memories for a Lifetime
“My friend Nat and I go everywhere and we just take photos—it’s our thing. We have the same taste in music, the same taste in clothing, the same taste when it comes to taking photos. We know what we want. And we loved this pineapple wall and we were drinking coconut water out of coconuts. Now that our time at Coachella’s over, we can look back and we have those super rad memories. Going into it, we didn’t know how we were going to feel, but coming out of it we had the best time. Our legs are sore from running from stage to stage and dancing so much! We can’t wait to go back.”
