Blue Jeans Were the Style MVP at Paris Fashion Week See the stars who are rocking formal denim By Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico is PEOPLE's Deputy Style Director, where she oversees the brand's digital Style and Beauty coverage. This includes running lead on the Met Gala, which is among PEOPLE.com's top-trafficked red carpet events every year, interviewing the industry's top influencers (including all the Kardashian-Jenners), and breaking A-list celeb news (a New Jersey shore native, it is no surprise that her favorite interview ever was with Bruce Springsteen). Brittany is a style contributor to People Every Day Podcast and has represented the brand on national TV programs including Good Morning America and The CW's two TV specials on the British Royals. Stars totally flipped the style script at Paris Fashion Week this year, dressing down more than ever before at some of the biggest events. Jennifer Lawrence attended the Dior show in a pair of cuffed boyfriend jeans and a sheer, bandeau-baring tank, and she looked ready for a girl’s night out. (We might have to copy it this weekend.) Diane Kruger went black tie on top and brunch on the bottom in a fancy fur coat and lace shirt paired with light wash cropped bottoms and strappy sandals. And Karlie Kloss gave us fashion flashbacks to Britney Spears’ “Lucky” video wearing a one-shoulder magenta top with a cascading train, plus mid-calf jeans at the launch of L’Oréal’s latest makeup collection. Getty (2) Kim Kardashian has said that Kanye West is responsible for making black tie denim a thing, and it looks like West’s fashion influence has rubbed off on his sister-in-law who wore her light-wash jeans with a black crop top featuring sheer statement sleeves. Rounding out the group, The Blonde Salad blogger, Chiara Ferragni, wore her Levis with a vintage Chanel jacket for the show, and it’s probably how all boyfriend jeans should be worn from now on.
