The U.S. Olympics gymnastics team got all the bling they needed Tuesday night — gold medals! — but they brought a little extra sparkle to the competition, just in case.

Hitting the arena for the team competition, the girls looked unified (and patriotic) in red leotards highlighted with crystal streaks (who needs hair glitter?). According to the Wall Street Journal, each gymnast’s uniform was adorned with 4,437 crystals.

“We love all the U.S.A. [uniforms],” gymnast Gabby Douglas told PEOPLE after her team’s win. But with the glimmering red ensembles, “We wanted to have variety. We try to have options.”

Seems that this look was the perfect option for a winning night.
