Solange Sings the Praises of New Carol's Daughter Site

Solange Knowles isn’t shy about embracing her natural hair, a fact that makes her the perfect spokesperson for Carol’s Daughter’s new endeavor, a website called transitioningmovement.com. The site — which launches this spring — will be the place to go for women transitioning from relaxers and weaves back to their natural wavy or curly hair, offering tips, product recommendations, photos, expert Q&A sessions and more.

In a chat with Lisa Price and fellow Carol’s Daughter spokeswomen Cassie and Selita Ebanks last year, Knowles talked a little about her decision to go natural and embrace her curls. “To me, [it’s] just another outlet of expression,” she explained. “It’s funny to see the social response, their interpretations of what a haircut, what a hair change means.” Price’s response? “You’ve got to do what makes you happy, and be you, be who you are.”
