Lets just have dinner or whatever.’ And then she [gave me an engagement ring],” the dance pro, whose partner is UFC fighter Paige VanZant (pictured), told reporters after Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars. “I was, like, ‘We said no gifts!’ She got down on one knee and everything.” Ballas, who was rocking his new bling on the DWTS red carpet and during the show itself, says that wedding plans are moving along — but don’t expect to see the star and his Alexander Jean bandmate (née Brittney Jean Carlson) to be walking down the aisle anytime in the near future. I’m here [at DWTS] full-time and then she’s got music stuff going on, but we are enjoying being engaged and enjoying the [wedding planning] process,” said Ballas. “We are making sure that when we put it together it’s going to be 100 percent perfect. So I’m, like, ‘Pick three and then I’ll be, like, ‘That one,’ ” said Ballas. And there is one detail that is most definitely set in stone: Ballas’ DWTS castmate (and lifelong best friend) Derek Hough will serve as best man. “That would be bad if he wasn’t.
