See Wonder Woman Gal Gadot Sizzle as the Face of Gucci Bamboo (Spoiler: She Plays Piano in the Buff)
The Wonder Woman actress shares her beauty secrets
Gal Gadot is blowing up. The Israeli-born actress, who’s appeared in the Fast & Furious franchise, is stepping foot — or should we say thigh-high boot — first into the leading lady role as Wonder Woman. We’ll get a taste of her kickass talents in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in spring 2016, and an even bigger glimpse of her in the Wonder Woman movie the following year. Until then, the gorgeous 30-year-old, is steaming up TV screens as face of Gucci’s latest fragrance, Bamboo. Below the actress spills on what it was like to appear in the commercial sans clothing, how she felt wearing the famous Wonder Woman costume, and of course, she shares her hero beauty products.

What was it like to put your Wonder Woman costume on for the first time?
The first time I tried the costume was an out of body experience. It was bigger than life. There I was becoming her. It was mind-blowing.
The TV series starring Lynda Carter ended before you were born; and on top of that you’re not from the U.S., so when did you first discover the character?
Wonder Woman is an international icon. It was very big in Isreal — we had the reruns in the 1980s, after it was on-air in the 1970s here. Lynda Carter’s character is phenomenal. It’s big shoes to get into but now we’re trying to have the past inform the present and have a new take on Wonder Woman and who she is.
In your Gucci Bamboo ad you play the piano naked. Please, tell us about that.
I was very cold! I wasn’t completely naked obviously. I really liked the idea of doing it because when [director] Fabien Baron called me and they were discussing the creative for the perfume, the first thing they told me was that Gucci Bamboo was created for women who inspire strength and power but at the same time, they are still very feminine and delicate and soft and sexy. I think the piano scene is a way to show the celebration — how women feel comfortable in their own skin.

What are your hero beauty products?
Because I get my hair and makeup done every day for work, in my day to day life less is more for me. I try to not use conditioner. Right now I am using the Redken protein spray, which makes hair thicker and stronger. And I don’t like heavy makeup, just keep it simple. I mix a touch of my foundation with my moisturizer (she swears by La Mer) and I apply that with my fingers. It’s so easy, light, and it looks so natural. Then I contour, use mascara and blush, and I am ready to go.
You recently posted an adorable photo on Instagram of your daughter sitting on your lap while you got glam. Does she weigh in on your looks?
Alma likes the process. Ever since she saw Rapunzel, she’s all about makeup, hair, dresses and skirts. She only wants to walk around with short dresses on, so if it’s cold outside, good luck to me! Of course she doesn’t use anything, but she always has questions, she’s a curious girl.
