Taylor Swift‘s Met dress is electrifying! The singer hit the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala red carpet in an unexpected but totally sexy silver minidress, and the design needs to be seen from every angle.
The 1989 singer, who is also the evening’s co-chair, stepped out in a head-turning look fit for the gala’s “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” theme.
Swift, 26, selected a sexy silver Louis Vuitton minidress with a tiered ruffle skirt and cutout waist detailing, which she accessorized with just-below-the-knee caged, heeled boots, dazzling Eva Fehren rings and ear cuff and her brand-new platinum blonde bob and a bold, black lip.

The unexpected mini moment is a far cry from the singer’s previous Met Gala designs (in the past, she opted for long ball gowns), but we’d be lying if we said it hasn’t been fun watching Swift step out of her red carpet comfort zone and into “rock ‘n’ roll chick” style persona Anna Wintour has created for the star.
