Rebecca Minkoff was one of the original pioneers of the “see now, buy now” or “buy now, wear now” concept, in which designers (who now include brands like Burberry, Ralph Lauren and Diane von Furstenberg), and to keep things fresh this year, she moved her Spring 2017 show to L.A. Her Saturday show had a star-studded front row (and runway – Victoria Justice and Aimee Song were among the models!), all wearing pieces you could buy right off their backs. “This gave the Rebecca Minkoff customer what she seeks – immediate satisfaction and a 360º lifestyle experience that taps into technology, beauty and wellness, philanthropy, entrepreneurialism and the culinary arts.” says Minkoff in a statement. This is the third season that Rebecca Minkoff has showcased her current season with a fashion show to highlight pieces immediately available for purchase.
Minkoff’s Southern California-inspired collection was full of airy silhouettes, embroidery, bohemian florals and denim pieces that have us resenting that we can see now, buy now but not quite wear now. As if we weren’t having severe fomo already, Victoria Justice rocked the runway looking adorable in this white flowy frock accented with a bandana and haircalf saddle bag.
