"There was like 'thismuch' fabric left after all those fight sequences," she says

Her role in the upcoming Avengers wasn’t exactly glamorous, but there was one sexy element to Scarlett Johansson‘s tough-girl look: her Black Widow catsuit.

“I love it,” the actress told reporters at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles Wednesday night. “I can’t get enough of it.”

However, by the time filming wrapped, it wasn’t much of a costume anymore. “I think it was just shredded,” she said. “I don’t think I even had enough to take home. There was like thismuch fabric left after all those fight sequences.”

That’s right, fights, which Johansson took on with gusto. “I came in knowing that that was going to be a challenge and I brought my A-game,” she said. “Nobody took it easy on me.”

However, keeping up with costars like Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth took a lot of work, the actress admitted. “They were in full force, these boys, and I guess at times I had to remind them, like, ‘I need my beauty sleep to keep up the visage.’ They liked to play hard.”

The actress recalled one scene in particular where she fought one of the guys — and “he was going all-out against me,” she shared. “I was like, ‘Will you hold it back? I’m trying to work it out here. I’ve got smaller muscles than you.'” But obviously, she lived to tell about it — though perhaps just barely.

“I feel like they did try to kill me for five or six months,” she joked of her costars. “But it’s OK. I held my own.”
