Yes, we’re still talking about Sarah Jessica Parker‘s shoe line. Why? Well, it’s SJP, she played the most iconic shoe-obsessed female character in TV history, she has a crazy footwear arsenal of her own, plus, she’s a total Hollywood trend-setter. To summarize: It’s exciting. And now we have one final sneak-peek video of the star unveiling even more secrets behind her eponymous collection, which launches tomorrow at Nordstrom.

“There were points of references for me in the late ’70s. In my opinion, that was a great time for women’s shoes,” the actress says in the clip below of the inspirations for her collection. “There were lots of designers that had a presence here in New York, like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon.”

Parker also explains that her overall goal was to produce “shoes that were beautifully made,” and that the $195 to $495 price range reflects the quality of the line. As for the various styles, she admits “The Carrie,” a nod to her Sex and the City alter ego, is “basically my favorite shoe.” And of course, there’s the personal touch, the grosgrain ribbon adorning her designs.

“The thing is, when I was growing up, we really didn’t have two nickels to rub together, but my mother always made sure that my sisters and I had two grosgrain ribbons in our hair,” she said in a recent interview with O magazine. “The rule was that we ironed them every single morning. We even had a special bureau dedicated to hair ribbons. I have them for my own daughters now, and my nieces wear them too. The grosgrain ribbons make SJPs really identifiable to others and really personal to me.”
