It took a village to get Alison Brie into her dress for the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards — literally!

The GLOW actress’ showstopping Miu Miu confection — complete with an oversize wing-like bow which cascaded down her back and Fred Leighton jewels — was quite the feat for her to put on.

“I have to show off this bow!” Brie, 36, told PEOPLE on the red carpet. “It was a four person process, yes, to get into this beautiful Miu Miu dress.”

“The bow sort of detaches and reattaches,” the actress explained, jokingly adding that, “I believe I am partially sewn in so tonight will be very interesting. I have glimpses of me in a few hours with my husband just being like ‘Get it off me! Get me out of it!’ But for now I’m loving it.”

  • The official pre-show, People, Entertainment Weekly and TNT Red Carpet Live: 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards, will livestream beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT on PEOPLE.com, EW.com, tntdrama.com/sag-awards and sagawards.org, in addition to being broadcast live in Times Square.

Luckily, she’ll have her ever-so helpful husband Dave Franco (who saved Brie from a near-wardrobe malfunction just three weeks prior at the Golden Globe Awards) to help her get the whole gown off at the end of the night.

“I have glimpses of me in a few hours with my husband just being like, ‘Get it off! Get it off me! Get me out of it!'” Brie joked. “But for now I am loving it.”

Brie earned a SAG nomination for female actor in a comedy series for her role in GLOW, in addition to the series’ nomination for ensemble in a comedy series. She has had five overall SAG Award nominations, with four coming from her performances in GLOW over the past two years.

“[It is so] special to be nominated as an ensemble and have our whole group here. The show would be nothing without this incredible cast and every woman on the show brings something totally unique and special,” Brie said.

She added, “We have a blast. It is constant laughing and joking. It is a constant slumber party!”
