Rumer Willis is killing the competition on

. The season 20 finalist has also been our source for the best makeup looks all season. So to celebrate her final few performances, we caught up with the show’s head makeup artist, Zena Shteysel, for the scoop on Willis’s final beauty moments.

Shteysel says the trick to Monday night’s makeup was getting it to go from romantic (Willis performed the Foxtrot first on Monday night, a dance she scored incredibly high marks in during her very first show) to sexy (her freestyle dance to Britney Spears’s “Toxic”).

“We want the look to be complimentary to both dances so we’re starting with a rosy smoky eye, and will intensify the look during the show to enhance the sexiness of the freestyle round and the black lacy costume Rumer is wearing,” she shares.

Want to recreate the look at home? Shteysel advises to concentrate on the eyes.

“To create the rosy smoky eye I use a medium brown in the crease, a dark brown in the cut crease and a dark purple in the outside top and bottom corners of the eye,” she explains, adding that all colors can be found in the Viseart palette #1. For the shimmery pop, she used Colourpop’s Super Shock Eyeshadow in Swan. As for the rosy cheek, the makeup guru applied Stila’s Magnolia and she finished the look with Colourpop’s Addict on the lip.

“All products were housed in a Z Palette for quick touch ups on set,” Shteysel adds.

To better understand the different looks she has to create for Willis, Shteysel says she usually peeks into rehearsal to see how the routine is progressing. “There isn’t time to watch the dance prior to creating the look [from scratch],” she explains. “However, I will watch the dance in rehearsal and, if necessary, make changes after the rehearsal and before the live show.”

And usually those tweaks include input from Willis. “We always collaborate,” she explains. “I normally present a couple makeup ideas to her and she does as well, and we decide together on what works best for the dance.”

As for her all-time favorite look from the season? “My favorite beauty moment definitely was turning Rumer into Ursula from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. It was the most fun I’ve had on the show.” (If you missed her very literal interpretation, check it out here.)
