The star gets cheeky in London

We suppose it was only a matter of time before Material Girl crossed the pond again.

The clothing line, the brainchild of Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon, tapped British singer Rita Ora to be the newest face of its campaigns — and flew to London to snap her striking a pose in front of some of the city’s most iconic locations.

“To be handpicked by Madonna and her incredibly cool daughter Lola is the largest of all compliments,” Ora said in a statement — a sentiment echoed by Material Girl’s former “It Girl” faces including Georgia May Jagger and Kelly Osbourne.

And Madonna and Leon both couldn’t help gushing about Ora as well. “What really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style,” the mother-daughter duo said jointly. “On stage or off, in photos or on the street, she’s a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about!”

Ora says the team had “loads of fun” popping around London locales including the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and double-decker buses, and it shows in behind-the-scenes images in which Ora is goofing off in the famous Palace Guard hats and blowing kisses at the camera.

The singer’s ads will continue to roll out throughout August and the back-to-school styles she’s modeling will be available exclusively at Macy’s and Tell us: What do you think of Material Girl’s latest face?
