Rihanna's Princess Diana Tribute Includes a Pair of Manolo Blahnik Denim Boot Chaps
She also honored R. Kelly and Madonna with her graphic tee spree
When you consider the fact that Rihanna‘s only regret in life is wearing a nude thong (rather than a bedazzled one) under her iconic see-through Adam Selman dress to the 2014 CFDA Awards, it’s clear that she doesn’t play by any style rules that us mere mortals follow. So when she recently paid tribute to three stars (Princess Diana, R. Kelly and Madonna) with oversize graphic tees, you can bet the rest of her styling techniques (denim chaps, stud-accented fur coat) were quintessential “Rihanna.”
We think it’s safe to say that no one has ever worn their Princess Diana tribute tee with quite so much panache. She paid respect with a motorcycle jacket, oversize cross necklace, Miu Miu shades and thigh-high denim Manolo Blahnik boot chaps (which she helped design!) over a pair of barely-visible denim short shorts.

But that wasn’t her only recent oh-so-Rih way to pay tribute to her icons. She kept the “freaking weekend” going Monday night in a R. Kelly tee and strategically-planned color-coordinating outfit. She wore a black oversize studded furry coat (it’s her new signature) and black baseball cap with tan leather pants and a checkered brown Louis Vuitton purse.

And back in January she must have been feeling inspired by Madonna’s legendary Blond Ambition world tour while planning her own for Anti, because she was rocking the 1990 concert tee. But since the show was controversial enough on its own (it raised ire for mixing religious elements with sexual themes), she kept the rest of her look relatively pared down.
