It’s that time of year, when you move all your sweaters out of your closet and all your gauzy little things in — and in the process, you end up sitting among piles of clothes wondering what to keep, what to toss and what you can hoard for another year in hopes it will come back in style. Sound overwhelming? Luckily, our Style and Beauty Director Andrea Lavinthal and Executive Director of Content Strategy Zoë Ruderman are here to help.
What We Love: Spring Wardrobe Refresh
First trick: Make it fun! Bring a friend over to keep you honest — even if you aren’t necessarily honest yourself about the premise under which you invite them over. (Zoë may or may not have thought there was brunch involved, but she commits to the task admirably.) Next step: Consider the actual price of keeping things in your closet. If you got it for free, but need to buy things to make it work, it’s not worth keeping. If you got it for a great deal, but never wear it, make room for another awesome find. And if you’re really on the fence about something but not ready to toss it, Zoë’s got a genius tip to track what’s actually getting use and what’s just taking up space in your closet.
Next, Zoë and Andrea take a trip to the Wetherly showroom to check out some hot-for-spring trends to update Andrea’s closet. They pick out some perfect-for-Andrea’s-wardrobe pieces that are both on-trend but totally wearable for her, and put some trends away. And finally, Andrea walks you through exactly what’s staying and what’s going in her medicine cabinet to update her skincare regimen now that the weather is warmer (spoiler: It’s all about SPF!)
