“St. Bart’s is the only place I can actually rela,” says the designer, who has been traveling to the Caribbean locale with her husband, Rodger Berman, for over fifteen years. “It takes a couple of days to settle in, but it’s kind of the most magical place. You forget about everything else that’s happening. We took the kids [Skyler, 4 and Kaius, 21 months] this year and it was heaven.”

Stateside, the 44-year-old, whose new show, Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe premiered last week on Lifetime, has another way to decompress.

“I bake anything and everything,” Zoe tells PEOPLE. “You name it, I do it. It’s very therapeutic.” On her list of specialties? “Chocolate chip banana bread, muffins, brownies, cookies, coffee crumb cake. I love it.”

And what exactly does one do with a house full of baked goods to keep from packing on the pounds? Simple. “I send them to school with Skyler or I bring them to my office,” says Zoe. “I put them in the kitchen and there are always takers. It’s literally like vultures attack!”

Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe airs Thursdays on Lifetime. What do you think of Zoe’s baking prowess?
