"It wouldn't be complete without a headband adorned with butterflies, birds and flowers," he says. To carry the butterflies from her hair over to the makeup, Laurence hand-glued a trail along her forehead and into the hairline. "We used several different shapes and sizes of dried flowers, butterfly appliqués, some greenery and crystals," she explains. "We also used jewel tones on her eyes and accented the vibrant blues in her costume." 02 of 10 Elektra Goes Dress Shopping FX Leading up to Angel's wedding, all the ladies joined her for an "iconic" wedding dress shopping scene — and Elektra's look didn't disappoint. "All of the ladies were done up to the nines, and of course, Elektra [Dominique Jackson] was no exception," says Laurence. "In the scene each of the women tried on several wedding dresses, so we did the makeup as if they were also the brides." For Elektra's shimmery eye look, Laurence used NARS eyeshadows in Kauai, Earth Angels and Brutes and Isolde. 03 of 10 Angel's Wedding Hair Eric Liebowitz/FX "Angel's dream wedding deserved dream hair, with just a touch of drama!" says Moe. He added a long fall to the back of Angel [Indya Moore]'s wig to "achieve a romantic silhouette with soft, beautiful tendrils that framed the face." 04 of 10 Angel's Wedding Makeup FX Since Angel's strapless white wedding gown was adorned with blooming pink flowers, Laurence wanted her makeup to complement it by using rosy tones "for a beautiful, angelic glow." Laurence combined seven different shadow shades from Pat McGrath's Divine Rose Collection on the eyes and added a pop of fuchsia to the lips with Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Unlocked. "The flowered eyelashes were hand made by makeup artist Jennifer Green and added a touch of etherealness to her look," she adds. 05 of 10 Elektra's Wedding Guest Look FX Moe referenced actress Diahann Carroll when dreaming up Elektra's "sexy, voluminous bob" for Angel's wedding. "Set with vintage, Remington hot rollers, this look never disappoints," he says. Playing off of Angel's rose-adorned wedding dress and the bridesmaid gowns, Laurence decided to blend "beautiful pink tones" on Elektra's lids. "The lip was bold with Fenty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in Griselda and NARS Lip Gloss in Scandal over it," she says. 06 of 10 Candy as Sleeping Beauty FX When Candy [Angelica Ross] channeled Sleeping Beauty, Laurence wanted to use makeup to "create a beautiful meadow on her face." "We custom made the face appliqué with a gold hot glue gun stick to give structure and then applied flowers, jewels, greenery and crystals to look like an ethereal garden," she says. As for her hair, Moe recreated a style from the 2005 Viktor & Rolf RTW collection. He says: "[It's] this side swept look using two wigs — one attached to the pillow and the second worn by Angelica. I attached her to the pillow for every shot, hand placing and pinning each individual wave." 07 of 10 Elektra's Fabulous Feather Moment Eric Liebowitz/FX Moe paid tribute to ballroom legends Octavia St. Laurent and Danielle Revlon's "glorious updos that hit the ballroom floor in the '90s" with Elektra's sculpted hairstyle. Utilizing a braiding technique and wigs, he created "an editorial fantasy that paired perfectly with her gorgeous feather dress." As for the makeup, Laurence made the colors match Elektra's bold blue dress. "I wanted to continue the feathers from her dress and hair, and accent one of her eyes with a bird-like feather shape," she says. 08 of 10 Angel as Little Red Riding Hood FX Since Angel's fairytale costume had a "gothic" vibe, Laurence wanted to mimic the aesthetic for her makeup. She did so by constructing a custom face appliqué with lace, red Swarovski crystals and metal and porcelain flowers. "Her graphic eye makeup was a combination of Pat McGrath Mothership V Bronze Seduction Eyeshadow Palette and M.A.C. Cosmetics Pigment in Red." With her hair, Moe threw "a slight nod to Brigitte Nielsen" by achieving "the perfect cluster of curls." 09 of 10 Lulu as Rapunzel FX Laurence and Moe created a fantastical Rapunzel-inspired look for Lulu for the Once Upon a Time ball featuring crystals, butterflies and a 20-pound braid. "She had a beautiful, ethereal lavender and purple look with crystals lining her eyes like Rapunzel's teardrops," Laurence says. "There were butterflies going all the way through her braid. We continued that on her nails with butterfly nail jewelry." To secure the 50-foot braid, Moe says he "bolted" it into actress Hailie Sahar's wig for every take since it "stretched the entire length of the ballroom floor." 10 of 10 Elektra as Evil Queen Eric Liebowitz/FX To give Elekra a classic evil queen look with a twist, Laurence decided to use makeup to "make her face appear like a crown of jewels." She says, "I used different tones of green and black rhinestones and Swarovski crystals to make the exaggerated and misshapen eyebrows."
