True to form, J.Lo lit up the Academy Awards with her envelope-pushing style - and her love was right by her side
It wouldn’t be a red carpet without a dose of Jennifer Lopez‘s head-turning style.
Just two weeks after her viral fashion moment at the Grammys on Feb. 10 (that hat!), the 49-year-old superstar made another major high-fashion statement at the 2019 Academy Awards, and her Instagram boyfriend Alex Rodriguez was right by her side to celebrate (and document) her major moment.
Lopez, who is presenting at the ceremony, always balances the skin-baring with the style-setting. And this time she didn’t disappoint in a second skin mirror mosaic long-sleeve Tom Ford gown worn with equally dazzling jewelry. The gown is so reflective it throws off sparkles on everything around her as she walks, as hairstylist Chris Appleton documented.
Rodriguez, 43, also wore Tom Ford, selecting an ivory cocktail jacket with grosgrain peak lapel. For his first Oscars, he put some of his possible outfit options to a poll on his Instagram stories, asking fans to vote on whether he should wear a white or black jacket, low top or high top shoes and one of two watches.
Lopez posted several throwback photos of her previous Oscar moments and a sexy behind-the-scenes photo of her prep for the big show.

Since Lopez and Rodriguez first began dating two years ago, the couple has become the red carpet duo to watch. And Rodriguez even admitted he loves to take behind-the-scenes photos of his leading lady’s looks.
“My job is to be the camera man!” Rodriguez said at the Grammys.
“I can’t believe it’s been two years. Only 730 days, which have flown by, but it feels like we have been together forever. We are meant to be, and how much you mean to me cannot be put into words,” he shared in a caption alongside a carousel of photos of their relationship.
He continued: “From baseball games, to traveling across the world to shows in Vegas. We have done it all together and every moment with you is cherished. Where this road will take us next is unknown but there is no one else I would rather have by my side. The journey is just beginning and I am excited for what’s ahead.”
In a recent cover interview with PEOPLE, Lopez opened up about finding a “profound” love with Rodriguez and the joys of blending their families together.
“We love each other, and we love our life together,” Lopez told PEOPLE of her relationship with Rodriguez. “The exciting part of our love is that we’re both very aware of how lucky we are to have found each other.”
The 91st Academy Awards are broadcasting live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on ABC.
