Oscar Nominees Luncheon Photo Fun
Give her a hand! Best actress nominee and Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain keeps all the action at arm’s length as she breaks away from Monday’s 85th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills for an exclusive PEOPLE photo shoot. “For me, I feel like I’ve already won,” she tells PEOPLE of the Oscar race. “So I never want to lose sight of what I feel right now and being in this business and being nominated. I know everyone says that, but really, you win already.”
The Les Misérables (and best actor contender!) hits all the right notes with his ensemble at the PEOPLE photo session. “I was so stalkerish about getting the role,” he recalled of the audition process. “I literally hunted [director Tom Hooper] down.”
Before catching up with her category’s frontrunner, The Impossible’s best actress embraces the dark side – of her wardrobe, that is. “This is the first time it hit home that it’s actually happened,” she tells PEOPLE of her nomination.
The sky’s the limit for Flight’s best actor , who also mingles with the competition in Beverly Hills.
After rubbing elbows with her Silver Linings Playbook costars at the luncheon, the supporting actress nominee soaks up the spotlight at the Beverly Hilton Hotel luncheon. “I do think that I’m incredibly lucky that after a very contented jobbing actor career for 50 years, that suddenly two years ago I never dreamed I’d be embraced so kindly and generously by the American film community,” she tells PEOPLE.
The animated feature film nominee takes a turn in front of the camera while showing some support for his part-comedy, part-horror flick Frankenweenie.
Also ditching his director’s chair: the Life of Pi nominee, who suits up for the occasion.
