Miranda Lambert's Favorite Things
HUSBAND BLAKE (OF COURSE)
When hits this year’s ACM Awards on April 19, she’ll have a very hot date: the show’s cohost, , who racked in slightly fewer nominations than his wife (Lambert earned eight and Shelton snagged two, if you’re counting). But the rivarly is very, very friendly. “I love just being his wife and watching him do his job, and he does the same for me,” Lambert told PEOPLE of her husband of nearly four years. “We’re proud of each other, but we are very much Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Thank goodness our names don’t make a celebrity name.”
Boots, clothes and homemade drinks are just some of the merch fans can find at Lambert’s Pink Pistol store, which she opened in 2012 near her home on Tishomingo’s Main Street. To boost tourism, shoppers can’t make purchases online, according to the store’s Facebook page. But you don’t have to travel to Oklahoma: Just last year, she opened a second store in her hometown of Lindale, Texas.
DOGS, DOGS & MORE DOGS
Lambert has no shortage of furry fans, and her growing canine crew includes rescues Jessi, Waylon, Black Betty, Cher, Delta Dawn and Bellamy. It’s a paws, er, cause close to her heart, and the country crooner regularly volunteers to help other dogs find forever homes. “Every time I find one, we keep ‘em until we can find them the right home,” she told PEOPLE.
Hay, girl! When she’s not snuggling her pooches, Lambert raises horses on the Oklahoma ranch she shares with Shelton. Earlier this year, she even introduced fans to her newest pony, Willowbrand Saith.
HER TOUR BUS
Lambert spends a lot of time on the road, so when it came time to design her tour bus she had a very specific aesthetic in mind: shabby-chic with a pink refrigerator. “I wanted something pretty calming,” she told USA Weekend earlier this year. “Everything, when you step off this bus, is really pretty fast-paced and rock ‘n’ roll I wanted some place where I could really have relaxation before I have to go out there and hit the craziness.”
A STIFF BEVERAGE
VEGGIES ... KINDA
She credits cutting Cheetos for her recent weight loss, but that doesn’t mean Lambert has gone totally green. She told Food & Wine that she likes her veggies, but only if there’s “ranch dressing or cheese on them.” And pickles? Fried, please! However, she does start each day with freshly pressed juice, and even brings her own juicer on the road. “That way I feel like I’ve been healthy for the day, even if I make bad decisions later,” she explained.
Their friendship is the ultimate duet, which means the title of their nominated musical collaboration, “Somethin’ Bad,” is a tad misleading. However, the ladies are facing off at the ACM Awards, both vying for female vocalist of the year. New mom Carrie gets to keep that motorcycle Miranda bought her either way, right?
When she needed a new pair of cowboy boots to replace her favorites, the star didn’t go to the store: she started her own line of footwear, Miranda by Miranda Lambert. “It’s fun to get dressed up, but at the end of the day, I’m back in my jeans and T-shirts at home hanging outside on the four-wheeler,” she said. “You need something for that fun dress up, but you need everyday wear, too. That is what I’m focused on.”
Her recently acquired 1961 Shasta camper is giving us major road trip envy. “Newest member of the family!” she wrote on Instagram. “This is Dixie y’all.”
