Miley Cyrus Pokes Fun at Shawn Mendes' Calvin Klein Campaign Photo with Her Own Topless Shot
A week after the singers sung a duet on the Grammy stage, Cyrus couldn't resist trolling Mendes on social media for his new sexy campaign
A week after the singers shared the Grammy stage for a duet, Cyrus, 26, couldn’t resist poking fun at Mendes on social media following his steamy modeling shots from the new Calvin Klein campaign.
The “In My Blood” singer, 20, stripped down to his skivvies in his debut as a model for the famed designer on Saturday, and while the Internet went wild for the sexy photos, Cyrus saw them as an opportunity.
The “Malibu” singer parodied the campaign by posting a topless shot on her social media accounts side-by-side with Mendes’ version. Both singers wore white Calvin Klein underwear, but to keep things PG, Cyrus covered both of their nipples with red hearts.
“Don’t leave your children with Miley,” the newly wedded singer captioned the hilarious comparison shot, which featured her standing with both hands above her head.
Though Cyrus saw the funny side of Mendes’ steamy photos, which featured the singer and his six-pack abs lounging in a kitchen and on a chair wearing nothing but his Calvins, other stars were very impressed.
“Delete this before my gf sees this,” rapper Hoodie Allen wrote in the comments.
Drake Bell appeared to have the same thought, as he replied, “My gf already saw it…she has my permission.”
The swoon-worthy shots — which have more than 8.2 million likes on Instagram as of Tuesday evening — were also praised by stars like Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Tedder, Julia Michaels, Alex Rodriguez, Tom Daley, and Charlie Puth.
“Killin’ it,” Lopez wrote alongside three fire emojis.
Besides poking fun at each other on social media, Cyrus and Mendes have also spent a lot of time together on stage recently.
Mendes started the performance solo while playing the piano before Cyrus came out to a roaring round of applause to help finish the song.
The jacket Mendes wore featured Parton’s iconic 1978 cover of Playboy.
The pair is also expected to release a single together on Cyrus’ new album, due out later this year.
