Just minutes into the Met Gala red carpet in New York City on Monday night, Lady Gaga won the night. The singer, one of the night’s co-hosts, hit the carpet in a billowing pink gown carried by a handful of tuxedoed handlers with umbrellas. But little did the crowd know what was happening next …
After having her iconic moment on the Metropolitan Museum of Art stairs …
… Gaga removed her first dress to reveal a second, black gown.
But the show wasn’t over yet! With designer Brandon Maxwell by her side, Gaga — now on a Judith Leiber phone-shaped clutch (reporters say she said, “Hi, Anna,” alluding to Vogue editor Anna Wintour) — took off her black dress to reveal more hot pink underneath.
And then the big moment: one last strip-down to a bejeweled bra and underwear, with sexy fishnet stockings and sky-high heels. The singer also toted a ‘Haus of Gaga’ wagon with pink champagne and coordinating hats.
Maxwell was wearing a whole belt of tools to help his muse with her wardrobe changes.
On the Met Gala red carpet, touch-ups are always necessary.
Gaga’s out-of-this-world eyelashes only accentuated her emotions during her sketch.
Wintour stood at the top of the stairs applauding her co-host through her epic entrance.
“Walk, walk, fashion baby.”
