Prepare to see a carpet filled with the industry's most stylish stars sporting the most head-turning looks on the grand staircase of N.Y.C.'s Metropolitan Museum of Art, all in honor of the design work of Comme des Garçons Creative Director, Rei Kawakubo. We've looked back at some of our favorite Met Gala moments and debated what Comme des Garçons pieces we'd love to see on the carpet tonight, but now the time has arrived to see the daring fashion, makeup and hairstyles worn by the most fashion-forward celebs. The Ouai founder and celeb-loved stylist shared a #TBT photo doing Bella Hadid's hair for last year's Gala wishing everyone the best of luck — and passing along some expert advice to the glam teams on call tonight (including herself!). Earlier this weekend, Mindy Kaling shared a sneak peek of a dress she plans on wearing for fashion prom: a sparkly navy Prabal Gurung gown with a fringe skirt that was made for Boomerang. "Having too much fun at my #metgala dress fitting," she captioned the video. "Can I wear this forever? #representing." To prep for the big night, Kate Bosworth went to Fourteenjay hair salon in N.Y.C. yesterday to get a fresh, icy blonde color she called "La Creme" on Instagram. "Hair salon or Comme des Garçons???" she joked in her hair salon selfie. Kate Hudson referenced some of the over-the-top headpieces we've seen stars wear in the past at the Met Gala, when she grabbed her morning cup o' joe wearing an oversize pillow on top of her head. On the other hand, fellow model Jourdan Dunn shared her own bathroom-getting-ready selfie on Instagram, but she was a little more covered up posing in a blue polka dot H&M robe and sheet mask to get her skin prepped for the night ahead. In his kit? Her next stop: KryoLife for a quick sub-200 degree cryotherapy session (which stimulates your skin!). Next, the star headed back to her hotel to start getting ready, but first, she made sure to eat up her "annual pre #MetGala Pasta," which appears to be a delicious plate full of rigatoni bolognese topped off with plenty of parmesan cheese! Stylist Brad Goreski, who works with stars like Lea Michele and Jenna Dewan Tatum, hosted the Met Gala red carpet show on E! and got prepped in as quick as 1, 2, 3. Hair stylist Benjamin Thigpen coiffed his locks, he applied a sheet mask and nibbled on a salad before heading up to the museum to host the show. It looks like Get Out actress Allison Williams will be wearing her hair curled tonight – the star shared a getting ready selfie on Instagram story getting her hair done for the big ball.
