Met Gala 2015: Kim Kardashian's Favorite Form of Self(ie)-Expression is Banned
To celebrate the release of her upcoming book, Selfish, Kim Kardashian West has shared a plethora of views into the book on Instagram. There was the Earth Day bikini shot, the quintessential throwback pics with her best friends and even the “going to bed with makeup on” photo. But those hoping for a sequel packed with Met Gala shots shouldn’t hold their breath: There’s a ban on Kardashian’s favorite form of expression, and it’s been implemented from up high.

Two days before her 352-page tome hits bookshelves, she shared a selfie in lingerie to assure fans there will be a lot of revealing shots inside, captioning the photo, “Don’t think I didn’t put lots of sexy pics in my new book #SELFISH” (Kim, we would never doubt you.)
But she won’t be able to duplicate the experience inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as Vogue editor-in-chief (and Kardashian pal) Anna Wintour has instructed attendees to leave their selfie sticks at home. Invitations carried instructions stating: “The use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted inside the gala,” according to the New York Post.
