The results are still trickling in, but it looks like we have a winner for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala’s most prevalent hair trend of the evening: topknots! Kate Hudson, Allison Williams, host Jennifer Lawrence, Poppy Delevingne, Alicia Keys, and Lizzy Caplan were among the Gala attendees rocking the glamorous, poufy head-toppers.

But lest you think these ladies aren’t being experimental enough at Fashion Prom, rest assured they aren’t wearing your standard end-of-the-workday messy buns. These are not only crisper and sleeker, in the cases of Williams and Delevingne, or artfully deconstructed like Lawrence or Hudson—who just might have our favorite bun of the night.

Of course, there are a few other hair trends are floating around the Met Gala red carpet: Adriana Lima and Katie Holmes debuted slick, shiny bangs, and Zendaya, Karen Elson, and Lady Gaga opted for crown-like adornments. And still others went with looks we could definitely not try at home—like Sarah Jessica Parker’s hefty headpiece.

Would you wear these classy topknots?
