Met Gala 2015: Hailey Baldwin Is Brunette Now!
See the 18-year-old's dark new do!
Looks like Katie Holmes isn’t the only star to debut a major mane makeover on the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala red carpet. Hailey Baldwin, 18, revealed a dark new do, along with an embellished long-sleeve mini, at Monday night’s star-studded event.
According to colorist Ryan Pearl of Cutler/Redken Salons, the guru behind Baldwin’s hair makeover, the two decided to go for “a rich brown because Hailey tans really well, plus it pops against her sweet golden eyes.”
The model’s reaction? “The first thing she said was that her hair looked so much shinier,” says Pearl. “This is a great break from all the highlighting that we’ve been doing to her hair and the work they’ve been doing on set at shoots. [Her] hair gets a bit of wear from this – going dark made her hair look a lot healthier, and gave her that immediate shine we were looking for.”
You’ve got to admit, it’s quite the change from her signature blonde, which you can see in the below Instagram she posted two days before the Met Gala.
Hailey isn’t the only Baldwin to recently undergo a hair transformation. Earlier this week, her 19-year-old cousin, Ireland, also switched up her bright platinum shade in favor of a deeper brown hue.
What do you think of Baldwin’s new color? Which hue do you prefer on her: blonde or brunette? Sound off below!
