Met Gala 2015: George Clooney and Amal Clooney Make their Met Debut
There were no white opera gloves this time, but Amal Clooney still managed to steal the show from seasoned celebs for her second big red carpet (and her first as a New Yorker!): the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala.
Mrs. George Clooney took a break from her stylish sidewalk parade to bring a big dose of glam to the Met Gala red carpet. She wore a red Maison Margiela “Artisanal” gown created specifically for her by John Galliano, with an intricately embellished and hand-painted pailette-covered bodice, skirt with tiers of alternating red fabric and her usual ridiculously gorgeous blowout.
Her handsome date for the evening matched his wife’s level of style, wearing white tie and tails with an accompanying red pocket square. Is it too much to hope for photos of these fittings in an upcoming Vogue, as they did for Amal’s wedding dress? Hey, if someone could get George Clooney to settle down, we say anything is possible.
