Meg Ryan made a grand return to her red carpet roots.

The actress, 55, stole the style spotlight at the 2017 CFDA Awards on Monday when she made a surprise appearance in a custom sequin ombré gown by Christian Siriano. Ryan’s gown featured a deep V-neckline in the front and the back and a glittering chapel-style train.

“She is one amazing icon and I’m so honored to have her with me,” Siriano, 31, wrote on one of his Instagram photos. “Such a dream to dress this amazing woman,” the designer captioned another post.

Ryan may be aging gracefully, but she’s more focused on her outlook on life and the people surrounding her.

“There are more important conversations than how women look and how they are aging,” Ryan told Net-A-Porter’s Porter in December 2015. “I love my age. I love my life right now. I love what I know about. I love the person I’ve become, the one I’ve evolved into.”

Also joining Ryan on Team Siriano was Janelle Monáe, who was one of three honorees for the Board of Directors’ Tribute, and wore a custom jumpsuit for the occasion.
