Mary-Kate stepped out in N.Y.C. Wednesday wearing a chic trench coat, her hair pulled back in a pony. The best part of her look? Both her sapphire-and-diamond Cartier engagement ring and sleek gold wedding band, marking the first time we’ve seen her wear both pieces of jewelry since marrying French banker Olivier Sarkozy, 46, last November.

And a bauble this special should be in the spotlight all the time. Reportedly, Sarkozy chose the vintage Cartier ring for his bride at a Sotheby’s auction, where it sold for $81,250. The Sotheby’s catalog description notes it’s from 1953 and lists it as having a 4-carat European-cut center stone, plus 16 calibré-cut sapphires surrounding it and about 1.5 carats of diamonds.
