When it comes to Nyong'o's gilded skin, Barose calls these products his “power players.” After moisturizing, Barose used a blotting paper to remove excess shine, then doubled-down with Lancôme’s Prep & Matte Primer on her T-zone. He then used two shades of foundation – Tient Idole in 550 in the center of her face and 555 around the perimeter of her face. He calls his technique an “easy, fool-proof way to sculpt [and] contour.” Barose completed the look with his favorite Custom Sculpting Drops and the brand’s Dual Finish Highlighter in Dazzling Bronze.
To “complement the shine in her leather dress” Barose created a metallic copper eye. He used dampened eyeshadow brushes to apply shades in the “Terre de Sienne” palette, and layered that with Lancôme’s “Cuivre” pencil. This process increases the color’s richness, he says.
