Liv Tyler Teases Major Haircut, Reveals a Six-Inch (but Still Subtle) Chop

The actress shed at least four inches from her previous style

We have much to be thankful for this week, including the fact that Liv Tyler has chopped off her enviable locks … and they remain glorious (and yes, enviable).

The actress teased a big change on Instagram, writing “Out with the old!!! Change is good!!!! Thank you hair for growing so well. @jamesbrownhair,” she captioned the shot.

She then debuted her new cut — a medium-length style with long layers and blunt, textured ends — at the British Fashion Awards in London on Monday evening. Sure, it’s much shorter than she normally goes, but it’s not so drastic that we need to breathe into a paper bag. (Like we need any more stress around the holidays!)

The cut in question is courtesy of celebrity hairstylist James Brown, who has worked with a number of stars, including Dakota Johnson, Kate Bosworth and Cara Delevingne, to name a few. His take on her hair? “It’s nice to have a change,” he wrote.
