These days Kim Kardashian West gets her supply of skin-tight, cleavage-baring designs from her designer pals at Balmain (Olivier Rousteing) and Givenchy (Riccardo Tisci). But before Kanye West did the infamous closet overhaul that made Kim cry (watch it here), she was a Hervé Léger fanatic. And we mean fanatic.

In a post dedicated to #TBT style on her website, Kim says she was “so obsessed” with the label that the colorful bandage-style dresses became her “uniform.”
“I would literally save up all my paychecks and go wait, stalk the girls that worked at Hervé and just get all the new colors,” she admits. “I loved when things went on sale.”

And actually, it all started in a reverse Kopycat Kris situation. “I would borrow my mom’s dresses that she saved from the ’80s and ’90s and she had so many and I would wear them and finally, I started to get my own and created my whole collection.”
She wore them so often, the burgundy dress was in the opening credits sequence of the first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and the hot pink design was immortalized in her Madame Tussauds wax figure.

And though she admits she hasn’t “worn them in a long time” (we’ll let you take one guess why), she’s kept them all for her “archive one day.” Since her new mansion is baring no expense (including $20,000 fixtures and “perfect” flooring) it’s really only a matter of time until the Hervé Léger wing is complete.
