Kim Kardashian Claps Back at Reports About Her 'Bad Skin Day,' Says She's Suffering from Psoriasis

The reality star calls out critics who accuse her of having blemishes while suffering from a psoriasis flare-up

Kim Kardashian West‘s psoriasis is back, but she’s not letting the naysayers bring her down.

The star was spotted getting lunch in L.A. with sister Kourtney Kardashian and Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick on Monday sporting an all-black outfit including a turtleneck top, black jacket and dark sunglasses. She also appeared to have some sort of breakout.

DailyMail.com called out the imperfections in an online post and tweet, which read that Kardashian West suffered from a “bad skin day.” And on Tuesday, Kardashian West responded to their Tweet.

“It’s psoriasis all over my face,” she wrote on Twitter with a cry face emoji.

The last time that Kardashian West revealed that she had a flare-up was at the end of December 2018. She tweeted, “I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body.”

She was so fed up with the blemishes that she asked fans for help. “Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis & what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!”

In November 2017, she told PEOPLE that she had been “using this light [therapy] and my psoriasis is like 60 percent gone.” And in December 2017, Kardashian West shared an update on her Instagram story. “OMG my psoriasis is almost gone! Best Christmas present!”

She found out she had the condition when she was diagnosed by a dermatologist on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2011.

In a 2016, she detailed the first time she experienced the condition on post on her app.

“I got it for the first time at the DASH store opening in New York,” she wrote. “I wore this all-sequin dress and I started getting really itchy; I thought it was just a rash caused by the fabric, but then the rash was COVERING my legs and my mom [Kris Jenner] was like, ‘I think you have psoriasis!!!’”

Kardashian West added: “[Jenner] has it too, and it’s hereditary, so she spotted the symptoms immediately.”

The Mayo Clinic describes psoriasis, which has no cure, as a condition that “causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin. The extra skin cells form scales and red patches that are itchy and sometimes painful.”

Luckily, she’ll soon be in the hands of her main makeup man, Mario Dedivanovic, who she’s hosting a Master Class with on Saturday, to help her with her glam.
