Kesha (and Some Really Cute Bunnies) Want to Talk to You About Your Makeup Bag
See her sweet spot for anti-cruelty products
She may “brush her teeth with a bottle of Jack,” but Kesha is much more discerning about what she puts on her face. So she’s teaming with the Humane Society to draw attention to cruelty-free cosmetics in a new spot for the organization (there are bunnies involved!).

With the House of Representatives set to consider a bill called the Humane Cosmetics Act (which would ban new-to-market animal tested products and phase out existing ones), Kesha’s cruelty-free cosmetics ad couldn’t be better timed — or cuter. In it, she glams up with all animal-friendly products, then leaves a message on the mirror before heading out into the night (and knowing Kesha, that night could take her anywhere).
“Once I was educated about the hidden cruelties that lurk behind some cosmetic products companies, I knew I had to take action and do everything in my power to end this inhumane practice of testing our cosmetics on animals,” Kesha says in a statement. “The power lies with us and we don’t need to harm animals to be beautiful!” And to prove it, she shares a list of her favorite cruelty-free beauty lines, which include Youngblood, Urban Decay, Becca, OCC, Tarte, Hourglass, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kryolan, Annabelle and Lime Crime.
Do you buy cruelty free makeup? Will you be petitioning your congressman to pass this bill?
