At just 24 years old, Kendall Jenner has already become one of the most in-demand supermodels in the world. She’s walked in nearly every major runway show, from Chanel to Versace, graced the covers of fashion’s most influential magazines and landed huge campaigns with brands like Tiffany & Co., Stuart Weitzman and Calvin Klein. But as Jenner grew up with older sisters who are known for flaunting their curves, the model admits she didn’t always feel completely confident in her skin.

“My sisters are a lot curvier than me,” Jenner said in a candid interview with The Telegraph. “They have boobs and I don’t have boobs. Growing up being this little twiggy girl, I saw my sisters and always thought, ‘Oh no am I supposed to be more sexy like them?'”

While she looked up to her older sisters, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West and Khloé Kardashian, Jenner says her boyish body left her feeling “almost like I didn’t fit in for a part of my life.”

Jenner has opened up about her battle with acne as a teen (she’s now a spokesperson for Proactiv) and how her sisters’ flawless skin affected her self-esteem.

“A couple of my siblings struggled when they were much younger, but they never really had it like I did,” the model told PEOPLE earlier this year. “That was also kind of a tough thing for me: to look at my beautiful sisters with beautiful skin and be like, ‘Okay, well, why me? What’s wrong with me?’”

However, Jenner said she was lucky to rely on her sisters to help her push through any insecurities.

“They were always there to lift me up and make me feel better about myself,” she said. “The best part about my family and my sisters is that they never give up and they’re always looking for a way to help and looking for solution.”
