Katy Perry Gives Us Cape Déja Vu (There's a Sentence We Didn't Think We'd Say)
The singer is definitely having a cape moment.
The fashion risk-taker also wore a floor-skimming cape-and-gown combo to last year’s Snowflake Ball by the same designer. The 2012 theme was midnight blue, and PEOPLE readers were not a big fan of the look, which nabbed only a 26 percent approval rating.
And turns out, readers are feeling pretty similar about last night’s wine colored look, which currently has a 79 percent “Leave It” rating. Apparently, StyleWatchers aren’t having nearly as big of a cape moment as Perry is.
Last month she stepped out in a tropical-printed wrap. And there’s still plenty of time for her to rock another cape before the year is out. Perhaps a glittery one for New Year’s Eve? Or a Mrs. Claus-inspired one for Christmas day?
- We totally appreciate Perry’s out-of-the-box choices (and think this whole look is over-the-top and awesome) but generally, we like her best a bit more casual and natural (like her look on John Mayer’s new song cover). What about you? Are you a fan of her cape collection?
