"Absolutely radiant," said designer Zac Posen of Holmes' Resort 2018 look
A gown by any other (designer) name would–not–look as sweet.
Katie Holmes was a style standouton Wednesday night at the Fragrance Foundation Awards inside Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. The actress, 38, dressed in a white gown from her favorite designer Zac Posen’s Resort 2018 collection. And while her ensemble was completely wiped clean of color, it was anything but boring. Holmes gave fans a closer look at the intricate jeweled appliques and her Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Holmes and Posen have long been one of the closest duos in fashion as he has often outfitted her in several of his designs for A-list events, including this year’s Met Gala. In fact their friendship spans over 17 years!
Inside the event dedicated to celebrating the global fragrance industry, Holmes discussed her interest in creating her very own scent.

“I would be very open to that. I love fragrance, I love the design of them, everything that goes into it, going to Paris, smelling, creating that scent, picking the right you know different florals and I’ve done some mixing and I really enjoy it,” she told PEOPLE.
As for her favorite perfume? “Jo Malone Orange Blossom,” Holmes shared. (You too can get the star’s go-to scent, here!)
Also in attendance at the Fragrance Foundation Awards were Karlie Kloss (in Carolina Herrera), Anna Chlumsky, Joel McHale, Tommy Dorfman, Elsa Hosk (in Romona Keveza), Judith Light, Mario Cantone, Debi Mazar and Dascha Polanco.
